The Golden Eagles' regular season finale is delayed due to inclement weather
CHICAGO - Thursday's regular season finale for the Marquette University women's soccer team was delayed due to inclement weather in Chicago and will now be played on Friday, Nov. 1. Official game time has not yet been decided but the match will likely start at 1 or 2 p.m. Central time.
The Golden Eagles, who sit in a tie for sixth in the BIG EAST Conference standings with 10 points, need a victory to secure a spot in the league quarterfinals, which begin Sunday at campus sites. MU would need Providence and Creighton losses to get in with a draw.
Marquette owns a 15-5-2 edge in the all-time series with DePaul and is unbeaten in its last three matches against the Blue Demons. MU is 6-3 against DePaul in Chicago and the two sides played to a scoreless draw in Milwaukee last season.
