Golden Eagles return to action on Jan. 18 in dual opener
The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up the fall portion of its 2019-20 campaign with action on Sunday at the Gopher Invitational, hosted by the University of Minnesota.
The Golden Eagles were represented in the event by seniors Brett Meyers and Luke Smrek, junior Luis Heredia Gomez and sophomore Fran San Andres. The field competed in both singles and doubles competition in a pair of draws, with a point system utilized to determine the event champions.
MU picked up a pair of doubles wins on Sunday and also had three players (Meyers, Heredia Gomez and San Andres) earn singles decisions.
Marquette will return to Minneapolis on Jan. 18 to open its dual schedule against the Gophers.
