Heredia Gomez, San Andres finish second at Drake
The Marquette University men's tennis team wrapped up play on Sunday at a pair of weekend tournaments, the Redbird Invitational and Bulldog Hidden Duals.
Illinois State and Drake were the hosts and Marquette sent four players to each destination to compete in singles and doubles competition.
In the point system utilized at Drake, junior Luis Heredia Gomez and sophomore Fran San Andres finished second in the field with nine total points. The duo picked up at least one point in each of the four rounds and finished just one point out of first place.
MU will wrap up the fall portion of its 2019-20 campaign at the Gopher Invitational Nov. 8-10, hosted by the University of Minnesota.
