No. 8/7 Marquette Closes Weekend at Seton Hall on Sunday

Tip-off is set for 11:00 a.m. CT on CBS Network
SOUTH ORANGE, N.J. – The No. 8/7 Marquette women's basketball team is back in action and will take on Seton Hall on Sunday afternoon at Walsh Gym with tip-off set for 11:00 a.m. CT.
The game will air live on CBS Sports Network with John Sadak and Julianna Viani handling the call.
The Golden Eagles (21-4, 12-1) suffered their first conference loss of the season on Friday night, 81-74 at St. John's, which snapped a 12-game winning streak for Marquette. Despite the loss, three Golden Eagles recorded double digits, led by a career-high 24 points from Erika Davenport, a season-best 22 tallies from Amani Wilborn and 11 points for Selena Lott. Davenport added 13 boards to record her ninth double-double of the season.
Natisha Hiedeman continues to lead the squad with 17.3 points per game, while Davenport is nearly averaging a double-double with 12.2 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Allazia Blockton (15.1 ppg), Danielle King (12.1 ppg) and Wilborn (11.6 ppg) also average double digits.
Marquette will return home for its final regular season games of the season hosting Butler on Friday, Feb. 22 at 7 p.m. CT before welcoming Xavier on Sunday, Feb. 24 at 2 p.m. CT, which will also serve as senior day.
Like Marquette, Seton Hall has a high-scoring offense, averaging 77.3 points per game, ranking third in the BIG EAST behind the Golden Eagles (84.4) and DePaul (82.6). The Pirates have scored 80+ points 10 times this season and are led by Shadeen Samuels with 18.5 points per game, also the league leader in scoring.

Marquette leads the all-time series 14-7 over the Pirates, including taking the first meeting, 96-60 in Milwaukee.
