Men's lacrosse falls, 7-5, to Cleveland State

Four Golden Eagles made their first career starts
 MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's lacrosse team, playing with four first-time starters, fell to Cleveland State, 7-5, on Saturday afternoon at Valley Fields.
Junior midfielder Luke Anderson scored a career-high two goals for the Golden Eagles (2-3), while playing more of a two-way role. Fellow defensive midfielder Noah Richard added an assist along with his four ground balls and caused turnovers, while redshirt freshman Garrett Moya and redshirt senior Mikey Zadroga III each posted their first career scores.
Griffin Fleming scored the game's first tally at the 11:29 mark for the Golden Eagles, but CSU rattled off four more goals in the first quarter and led 5-1 after a goal midway through the third Marquette rallied to pull within one following three-straight goals late in the third and got back within one again early in the fourth.
Junior goalie Chris Rolfing made his first career start in net and recorded nine saves in the first half, the most stops for a MU backstop in a single game this season.
Six different players scored goals for the Vikings (3-4), led by a pair from Nick Polydoras.
The Golden Eagles resume their season on Tuesday, March 12 at Robert Morris at noon Central time.
