The Golden Eagles play their last road game of the regular season in Colorado
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University women's lacrosse team continues BIG EAST play at No. 16-ranked Denver this Friday, April 19 at 8 p.m. CT.

Following Friday's contest, the Golden Eagles will return home to Valley Fields for the regular season finale – which also serves as Senior Day and the team's annual PanCan game – on Saturday, April 27 at 2 p.m. CT against Georgetown.

MARQUETTE (8-7, 2-1 BIG EAST):Â The Golden Eagles picked up their second BIG EAST win and first on the road last Saturday against Old Dominion, 17-7. With six saves in the win, junior goalkeeper Jules Horning became the all-time wins leader for a goalie at Marquette. Junior Megan Menzuber made the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for her four-goal effort, while she added in an assist, a ground ball and caused a turnover.

NO. 16 DENVER (11-2, 3-0 BIG EAST): The Pioneers most recently defeated Butler last Saturday, 16-5, to remain undefeated in conference play (3-0) and extend their win streak to four straight. Sophomore Bea Behrins led the attack for DU, tallying four goals and an assist. Freshman Kailee Lammers was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week after going for three points (one goal, two assists) against the Bulldogs.

SERIES HISTORY:Â Friday's meeting marks the fourth meeting all-time between the two programs. Denver holds a 3-0 edge over the Golden Eagles, and the last matchup took place at Valley Fields on April 18, 2018, and ended in a 17-11 decision.
GABRIEL GETS RECOGNITION
Marquette senior midfielder Grace Gabriel was tabbed the BIG EAST Preseason Offensive Player of the Year. Last season, Gabriel became Marquette's all-time leader in goals, shots and draw controls. She set program records with 56 goals and 107 draw controls as a junior and earned BIG EAST Co-Midfielder of the Year. The Lancaster, New York native was also picked as a unanimous All-BIG EAST First Team selection in 2017 and 2018, alongside an IWLCA Second Team All- American selection.

GABRIEL ALL-TIME POINTS LEADER
Grace Gabriel became the Marquette women's lacrosse program's all-time points leader on Sunday, March 17 at Niagara. Her goal to begin the second half against the Purple Eagles propelled her past Claire Costanza's mark of 169 career points.

SOCCODATO HITS 100
Senior attack Cate Soccodato tallied six assists for six points on Friday, Feb. 15 against Cincinnati to propel her past the 100 career point mark. She's the eighth all-time Marquette women's lacrosse player to reach the feat. Current roster members Grace Gabriel and Charlotte McGuire also rank belong to the 100-point club.

Graduate student Charlotte McGuire became the ninth player in program history to reach 100 career points in Marquette's contest at High Point on March 16, 2018. She recorded four goals to surpass the mark.
