Marquette (5-under-par) is tied for sixth heading into Sunday's final round
FRANKLIN, Tenn. — Austin Kendziorski carded his second straight round of 66, moving to 10-under-par and into a one stroke lead after 36 holes, while Oliver Farrell's 6-under-par total through two rounds has Marquette at 5-under-par and tied for sixth place at the Mason Rudolph Championship, hosted by Vanderbilt.
Playing as an individual, Kendziorski (66-66—132) matched his Friday season low score with five birdies, while closing out his round with an eagle on the Par 5, 522-yard 18th hole. He extended a streak of 24 straight holes without a bogey, marked by a 3-under-par start through six holes at the Vanderbilt Legends Club (Par 71, 7,100-yards).
Marquette went 1-under-par in its second round (283-280—563) to move a spot ahead on the leaderboard, led by Farrell's 2-under-par 69 and Matt Murlick's 1-under-par 70. Farrell (67-69—136) overcame an even par front nine and went 2-under-par on the back nine, paced by eagles on Par 5 holes at No. 14 and No.18 - it was the second straight day that Farrell eagled the 517-yard 14th. He gained a spot to a tie for 5th, four strokes behind Kendziorski's lead.
Hunter Eichhorn (71-71—142) remains at even par for the tournament, tied for 28th.
Host and fourth-ranked Vanderbilt leads the event at 15-under-par after shooting a 15-under 269 on Saturday. Four teams are at 10-under-par or lower.
Final round play gets underway at 8:30 a.m. CT with a shotgun start.
