
Marquette Continues BIG EAST Action at Xavier on Sunday

Tip-off is set for 1 p.m. CT on the BIG EAST Digital Network
CINCINNATI, Ohio — The Marquette women's basketball team is set to conclude weekend action at Xavier on Sunday, Jan. 19 with tip-off set for 1 p.m. CT from the Cintas Center.
The game will air on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Mike Schmaltz and Rich Hoyt calling the action.
The Golden Eagles (12-5, 3-3) dropped a tough game at Butler on Friday night, 61-55 as Selena Lott and Altia Anderson led the team with 15 and 13 points, respectively. MU and Butler traded points back-and-forth in a contest that came right down to the final minute before Butler secured the win with free throw shooting.
Lott leads the Golden Eagles with 15.9 points per game, which ranks ninth in the BIG EAST standings, while Van Kleunen (21st), Isabelle Spingola (25th) and Camryn Taylor (30th) also sit in the league's top-30. Lott is the BIG EAST leader in assists handing out 5.8 per game as Anderson is 11th pulling down 6.6 rebounds per night.

Gray leads the BIG EAST in rebounding with 9.5 per game this season, while ranking seventh in scoring at 16.5 per contest. The Musketeers lone win in BIG EAST play came in an 85-64 victory at Georgetown.

Marquette leads the all-time series over Xavier, 14-7. The Musketeers have not defeated MU since Jan. 15, 2016.
