
Women's Tennis Hosts Two Matches

The Golden Eagles welcome Michigan State and Wisconsin to Helfaer Tennis Stadium
MILWAUKEE—The Marquette University women's tennis returns back to their home court at the Helfaer Tennis Center this weekend hosting Michigan State on Saturday at 3 p.m. CT before facing in-state rival Wisconsin on Sunday at 1 p.m. CT.
The squad is coming off a successful weekend at home against UIC and Green Bay. The Golden Eagles topped UIC 6-1 last Saturday, before blanking Green Bay, 7-0.
Marquette (2-0) was led by Fleur Eggink, Milica Novakovic, and Natalija Popovic placing in the top three in singles play. The duos of Eggnik and Giulia Turconi, Popovic and Windbuchler, and Elizabeth Ferdman and Lesley Foe led the way for the Golden Eagles to dominate the afternoon.
The Wisconsin Badgers are coming off a 0-4 loss against Georgia Tech and a 4-1 win against Purdue. Michigan State is 2-1 so far on the season, with wins against Eastern Michigan and Furman, and a loss to #7 Georgia.
Following the weekend, MU heads to Minneapolis to take on the University of Minnesota at 11 a.m. CT and University of Tennessee at 3 p.m. CT.
