The Marquette University men's tennis team (4-4) faces off against the Creighton Bluejays Saturday at 2 p.m. CT at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

The outing will open a three-match homestand for the Golden Eagles, who have played 6-of-8 contests on the road to begin the dual schedule.

"It's always good when you have the opportunity to play a BIG EAST team during the season so we can get a sense for the competition we will see at the league tournament in April," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "We are very familiar with Creighton and expect a tough match on Saturday."

Marquette posted a 6-1 win over IUPUI in its most recent action and is 2-0 at home this season. Seniors Luke Smrek and Brandon Shanklin and junior Luis Heredia Gomez lead the team in singles victories (five).

Following the match on Saturday, MU returns to action in Milwaukee against Xavier on Saturday, Feb. 29 at 6 p.m. CT.
