WTEN Hosts UIC Saturday In Home Opener

First serve set for 10 a.m. CT
The Marquette University women's tennis team (0-1) welcomes UIC (0-0) to Helfaer Tennis Stadium on Saturday, Jan. 30 in non-conference action.
First serve is set for 10 a.m. and the match will be the first at home this season for Marquette.
"We can't wait to get back on our home courts to compete," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "We have a lot of new faces this year and the lineup is going to provide plenty of opportunities to gain valuable experience."
Rodecap, who is in his 18th season as head coach of the men's team, was named Director of Tennis last spring and now oversees the women's program. He is assisted by Jud Shaufler and former player Dusan Medan.
The Golden Eagles opened the season with a 7-0 loss at Iowa State last weekend and the lineup featured four freshmen making their respective collegiate debuts.
