#MUBB Remains Undefeated With 78-72 Win Over Ole Miss

Golden Eagles Continue Tourney Play Friday Night
The Marquette University men's basketball team (4-0) opened play at the 2021 Shriners Children's Charleston Classic with a 78-72 win against Ole Miss (2-1) Thursday night at TD Arena.
The Golden Eagles will now face Either Elon or West Virginia in the semifinals at 6 p.m. CT on Friday, Nov. 19.
Forward Justin Lewis finished with a career-high 21 points and guard Kam Jones scored a personal-best 18 of his own.
Marquette trailed by as many as 12 points in the first half and led by as many as seven in the second, sealing the game with clutch free throw shooting down the stretch.

- Freshman forward David Joplin celebrated his 19th birthday on Thursday, highlighted by a buzzer-beating 3-pointer before halftime.

- Jones finished with a personal-best 18 points, more than the 15 combined he scored in the first three games
- Darryl Morsell finished with 22 points, his fourth-straight game of 20-or-more points
