Opening serve set for 6 p.m.
The Marquette University men's tennis team (3-3) returns to action on Thursday, Feb. 18 when the program hosts Northern Illinois (5-0) in non-conference action at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
Opening serve for doubles is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT.
"We are looking forward to getting back on the court after a tough finish to the weekend," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "We have a lot of guys in the mix for playing time and that means we should be extremely competitive every time we take the court, at all positions. That's what I want to see on Thursday night."
Last weekend the Golden Eagles defeated Youngstown State, 5-2, before falling, 4-3, at Dayton. The Huskies enter the match on Thursday undefeated in five outings on the season, but the Golden Eagles have claimed the last five meetings.
The Golden Eagles have already received contributions from 11 of the 12 players on the roster this season in both singles and doubles action. Freshman Nikola Kijac leads the team with four singles wins in dual action and junior Fran San Andre is a perfect 3-0, including his first-ever win at No. 1.
Following Thursday's action, the Golden Eagles don't return to the court until facing rival DePaul at 2 p.m. CT on Sunday, Feb. 28.
