WTEN Drops 4-3 Decision At Butler

Desmarais, Badawi earn singles wins
The Marquette University women's tennis team (5-7) concluded its regular season with a narrow 4-3 loss at Butler (5-9) on Sunday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles will next play in the 2021 BIG EAST Championship April 22-26 in Cayce, N.C. Seeding for the event will be determined on Monday.
Marquette opened the match by claiming the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 positions, but the Bulldogs claimed four singles victories to earn the team decision.
Earning singles wins for MU were Elisabeth Desmarais at No. 4 and Sarah Badawi at No. 6.
