The Golden Eagles will honor 15 senior student-athletes and two team managers

MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's lacrosse team is set to host No. 10 Georgetown on Saturday at Valley Fields for Senior Day.
Opening face-off is set for 11 a.m. Central time and the game will air live on GoMarquette.com's All-Access Player with Patrick Reed (play-by-play) and MU's all-time saves leader Cole Blazer on the call. Live statistics will also be available.
The Golden Eagles will honor 17 seniors at roughly 10:40 a.m. prior to the game, including 15 student-athletes. Those departing MU following this season include Tommy von den Benken, Ryan Fazio, Colin O'Donnell, Connor McClelland, Keaton Thomson, Anthony Orsini, John Hulsman, Anthony Courcelle, Brendan Alt, P.J. Cox, Griffin Fleming, Morgan Macko, Gabe Stein, Elliott Yacu and Peter Henkhaus. Team managers Errol Ashby and Jose Salinas Urrutia will also be recognized.
Marquette looks for its second home win of the year on Saturday following a 16-6 loss at then-No. 6/5 Denver on April 3. Devon Cowan posted two goals and an assist in the loss to the Pios, while Sean Richard made 15 saves in his fourth starting assignment of the year.
Redshirt junior attackman Griffin Fleming leads the Golden Eagles with 14 goals and eight assists, while Cowan is right behind him with 14 goals and six assists. Cowan has posted a point in all 14 games of his collegiate career and scored in 12-straight contests.
MU previously met Georgetown on March 6 in Washington, D.C., a contest that resulted in a 20-13 victory for the then-fourth-ranked Hoyas. Marquette led 9-8 early in the third quarter before Georgetown reeled off a 12-1 run on its way to victory. Ryan Fazio scored a career-high four goals for MU, while Cowan posted a hat trick and Fleming notched a pair of scores and three helpers. Georgetown's Dylan Hess' four goals led five players with hat tricks and the Hoyas won 30-of-36 faceoffs.
Georgetown leads the country in scoring defense (7.00) and scoring margin and has four players with at least 20 points this season. Jake Carraway leads the team with 29 goals and 11 assists, while TJ Haley has a NCAA-best 33 assists. Owen McElroy has started all eight games for GU in net and has made 64 saves with a .577 save percentage.
Including this season's previous meeting, Marquette is 5-4 all-time against Georgetown and 3-0 when the game is played in Milwaukee.
Following Saturday's matchup, MU welcomes St. John's to Milwaukee on Wednesday, April 14 for a makeup game from March 27. The Golden Eagles end their year with three road contests at Providence, Villanova and St. John's.
