
Track & Field Set to Compete at Lake Michigan Open

Track & field competes in first indoor meet of 2022
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette men's and women's track & field teams resume the season at UW-Parkside this Saturday, Jan. 22, for the Lake Michigan Open. The meet will be held at Frank Petretti Fieldhouse located on Parkside's campus.
The meet is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. CT with the field events. The running events are scheduled to start at 10:45 a.m. CT with the women's DMR. The meet will be broadcasted on the Parkside Sports Network and live results can be found here.

The Golden Eagles concluded 2021 as a team at the DePaul Blue Demon Holiday Invite on Dec. 10.

The Golden Eagles will be competing in two meets next weekend. The team will be sending members to Grand Valley State to compete in the Bill Clinger Multi, Jan. 28-29, and the John Tierney Invite at UW-Milwaukee, Jan. 29.Â

- Jefferson Osunkwo took first in the triple jump with a jump of 14.05 meters/46 feet, 1.25 inches to set a PR and hit the No. 9 all-time mark. Osunkwo has won the triple jump in the team's first two meets of the indoor season.
- Gretchen Pfeiffer won the 800-meter with a PR of 2:31.82.
- Freshman Gianna Konen, competing in her first collegiate meet, earned runner-up honors behind Pfeiffer in the 800-meter setting a PR of 2:33.10.
- Sophomores Julian Wright (No. 3) and Zachariah Murray (No. 5) added their names to the all-time top-10 list in the 300-meter with times of 34.76 and 35.31, respectively. Wright finished third overall and Murray followed in fourth.
- Allie Flando moved up to No. 4 all-time in the weight throw setting a PR with a throw of 18.51 meters/60 feet, 10 inches, and received runner-up honors.
- Arianna Mansavage claimed the No. 3 spot all-time in the 300-meter with a time of 40.54. Mansavage finished third overall.
- Joe Keys placed first in the 55-meter hurdles and the long jump. Keys set a PR in the 55-meter hurdles with a time of 7.73, No. 6 all-time in MU history.
- Megan Wallace and Katie Dingle took first and second, respectively, in the high jump. Wallace set a PR with a mark of 1.62/5 feet, 3.75 inches.
- Wallace claimed first in the 55-meter hurdles with a PR of 8.53, No. 9 all-time. Dingle received runner-up honors with a PR of 8.92.
