Cross Country Set For Bradley "Pink" Classic

14 Golden Eagles ran personal bests at last season's Bradley Classic
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's cross country teams will be competing in the Bradley "Pink" Classic on Friday, Oct. 14.
Action at Newman Golf Course will kick off at 1:30 p.m. CT with the women's 6k white race. The women's white race will be followed by the men's white race, the women's red invite race and conclude with the men's red invite race. Live timing will be provided by Shazam Racing.
The women placed 10th and the men 21st at last season's Bradley "Pink" Classic. Newman Golf Course was a track that saw 14 Golden Eagles achieve personal bests last year. Kendall Pfrimmer led the women's side in the 6k red race with a personal best time of 21:43.4 to place 32nd. Sophomore Dan Weizeorick was the top finisher for the men taking 72nd overall with a time of 25:15.0.
The best finish for the women in this event came back in 2017 when the women earned runner-up honors. For the men, their best finish came back in 2012 when the team took 2nd place.
LAST TIME OUT
The Golden Eagles are coming off competition at Notre Dame competing in the Joe Piane Invite on Sept. 30. The MU men and women both finished 12th.
Junior Kate Jochims lead the women with a season-best time of 18:07.2 and took 41st overall. Anna Penzkover and Laurel Moneysmith finished next for the Golden Eagles taking 46th and 50th, respectively. Penzkover ran a 22-second personal best with a time of 18:18.4.
Junior Lexi Keppler rolled to a new 5k personal best with a time of 19:36.3, beating her previous PR by 24-seconds.
All of the Marquette men improved upon their 5-mile time from the last time out at the National Catholic Invite. David Zeller led the Golden Eagles finishing 25th overall. Zeller improved upon his 5-mile time from the last time out by over a minute with a time of 25:10.5.
Sophomores Tyler Re and Dan Weizeorick finished back-to-back of one another. Re took 59th place with a time of 25:47.8. Weizeorick crossed the line within a second of Re with a time of 25:48.3 to take 60th.
Jadon Conroy improved upon his time last time out by about a minute and a half with a time of 26:31.1 to take 79th overall.

Marquette has one last meet before the BIG EAST Championships. The Golden Eagles' final tune-up will be at Illinois for the Illini Open on Oct. 21.
