Golden Eagles host Chicago State Saturday Night
The Marquette University men's basketball team (4-2, 0-0 BIG EAST) concluded play at the Rocket Mortgage Fort Myers Tip-Off with an 84-60 victory against Georgia Tech (3-2, 0-0 ACC) Wednesday night at Suncoast Credit Union Arena.
Guard Kam Jones led the way with 19 points points and guard Tyler Kolek chipped in 14 points, six assists and five rebounds.
The Golden Eagles held the Yellowjackets to just 32.8 percent from the floor for the game and led by as many as 20 points in the second half.
Marquette came out aggressive at both end of the court in the first half, shooting 50.0 percent (16-of-32) from the floor and holding the Yellowjackets to just 34.4 percent, while forcing seven turnovers. Kolek led the way with nine points, but eight different players netted at least two points. MU led by as many as 18 points and 41-28 at the intermission.

Notables:
- Tyler Kolek finished with 14 points, just the second time in his MU career he has reached double figures in back-to-back outings. He scored 16 points Monday against Mississippi State.
- Kam Jones finished with 16 points and has now reached double figures in 5-of-6 games after scoring 10-or-more just seven times in 2021-22
- Freshman Sean Jones finished with 11 points, his season high.
- Forward Oso Ighodaro grabbed a season-high 10 rebounds and also had 10 points for his second-career double-double.
