Golden Eagles return home Thursday to face Seton Hall
The Marquette University women's soccer team (5-5-3, 2-1-1 BIG EAST) continued BIG EAST Conference action on Sunday afternoon with a 0-0 draw at UConn (5-2-4, 2-0-2 BIG EAST).

The result capped a successful weekend on the road in BIG EAST play for the Golden Eagles, who also earned a 3-1 win at Creighton on Thursday night. MU is now in possession of seven points through four league outings and currently sits in the top third of the standings.

Marquette finished with just a pair of shots on goal, one in each half, but the team's defensive effort was strong once again. MU posted its fourth shutout of the campaign and netminder Mikki Easter concluded the afternoon with six saves, but was needed only once in the second half.

The match was scoreless after 45 minutes, courtesy to Marquette Netminder Mikki Easer, who finished the stanza with five saves. Includes in the stops were a pair of point-blank opportunities by the Huskies. Midfielder Maggie Starker collected Marquette's lone shot prior to intermission.

UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, Oct. 5 when the hosts Seton Hall for a 7 p.m. CT matchup at Valley Fields.
