Marquette back in action Oct. 12 at Providence
The Marquette University women's soccer team (5-6-3, 2-2-1 BIG EAST) continued BIG EAST Conference play on Thursday night at Valley Fields with a 1-0 setback against Seton Hall (6-5-2, 2-2-1 BIG EAST).

Marquette finished with an 11-5 advantage in shots, but SHU netminder Anna Prawer made a pair of impressive saves on freshman Emily Fix in the second half to keep the Golden Eagles off the board.

The Golden Eagles trailed 1-0 at the intermission, despite controlling possession throughout the half. The Pirates were able to take advantage of a turnover at midfield and the quick counter resulted in a shot from outside of the box that found the back of the net. SHU had just two shots in the first 45 minutes and the Golden Eagles finished with four, but had plenty of activity in the Pirates' box.

UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles return to action on Thursday, Oct. 12 when the team travels to Providence to continue league play at 5 p.m. CT.
