Golden Eagles begin dual competition at Wisconsin in January

Ann Arbor, MICHIGAN - The Marquette men's tennis team concluded its fall campaign this past weekend at the ITA Midwest Regional Championships hosted by Michigan.

Senior Tin Krstulovic paced the Golden Eagles in singles action making it to the round of 16 before falling to Chad Miller of Northwestern.

Jan Jauch earned a round of 64 win in singles action with a win over Luke Welker of Northwestern but fell in the next round of 32.

The pairing of Blake Roegner/Tin Krstulovic made it to the round of 32 in doubles action before dropping an 8-5 decision to UW-Madison combo of Gabriel Huber and Oliver Olsson.

"Overall, I was very pleased with our body of work in singles this past weekend," interim director of tennis Jud Shaufler said. " We played a lot of matches this fall and our new coaches got a good look at what we need to do to improve and start preparing for the spring season."

UP NEXT: Marquette tennis returns to action on January 19 for their first dual match as the team travels to Madison to take on the Badgers.
