#MUBB Hosts Southern Tuesday at 8 p.m. CT

The No. 3 Marquette University men's basketball team (5-1, 0-0 BIG EAST) continues non-conference action when the squad hosts Southern (1-5, 0-0 SWAC) on Tuesday, Nov. 28 at 8 p.m. CT in Fiserv Forum. FS1 features the television broadcast, with Jeff Levering (play-by-play) and LaVall Jordan (analyst) calling the action. Marquette is 2-0 all-time against the Jaguars, most recently posting an 84-41 victory on Dec. 28, 2018. Following Tuesday's outing, the Golden Eagles will travel to Wisconsin Saturday afternoon.

Marquette Supporting Nike's N7 Initiative

Since 2010, N7 has partnered with select collegiate basketball programs to create turquoise jerseys and shorts. More than a color, Turquoise holds symbolic prestige and power in many Native American communities. Marquette has participated on an annual basis, featuring special uniforms, warmups and shoes during November's Native American Heritage Month.

Nike is committed to getting youth in Native American and Aboriginal communities moving so they can lead healthier, happier and more successful lives. Through Nike's N7 Fund, it supports organizations that provide sport and physical activity programming to youth in these communities. The N7 Fund helps them reach their greatest potential through play and sport and creates more equal playing fields for all.

Since its creation, the Nike N7 Fund has awarded more than $10.8 million in grants, administered by the Charities Aid Foundation of America, to more than 300 communities and organizations.

Ighodaro Earns All-Tourney Honors

Matched up against three of the top big men in the country, senior forward Oso Ighodaro collected a trio of strong performances and as a result was named to the Allstate Maui Invitational All-Tournament Team.

The Chandler, Arizona, native averaged 17.0 points, 6.0 rebounds and 1.3 blocks per contest and shot 68.8 percent (22-of-32) from the floor. His week was highlighted by a 21-point, nine-rebound performance in the 73-59 win over No. 1 Kansas.

Through games of Nov. 26, Ighodaro is ranked second in the BIG EAST in field goal percentage (.688).
