Golden Eagles Feel At Home In Fiserv Forum
The Golden Eagles celebrated their 2022-23 BIG EAST Conference championships prior to the season opener on Monday night with a banner ceremony and a record number of fans were on hand to join the festivities.
MU's attendance total of 16,352 was the highest for a home season opener in 20 years, surpassing the 15,659 who witnessed the first game of the 2003-04 campaign against Savannah State.
The Golden Eagles ranked 10th in the country in average attendance (14,992) in 2022-23 and finished among the nation's top-25 for the 21st-straight year.
