The No. 18/18 Marquette women's basketball team (12-0, 1-0 BIG EAST) travels to Hartford for a New Year's Eve matchup at No. 15/17 UConn (9-3, 1-0 BIG EAST). Tipoff from the XL Center is at 12 p.m. CT. Sunday's television broadcast will be on SNY and the FOX Sports app with Allen Bestwick (PxP), Meghan Culmo (Analyst), and Chelsea Sherrod (Sideline) on the call.

• In her fifth season at the helm of Marquette women's basketball, Coach Duffy has the best winning percentage of any coach in MU history, going 99-37 (.728) overall and 54-23 (.701) in BIG EAST play.

• The Golden Eagles have recorded 20-or-more assists in 7-of-12 games this season.Â

• Paige Bueckers was voted preseason BIG EAST Player of the Year. KK Arnold was voted preseason Freshman of the Year.
• The Huskies tied for the conference lead with three Preseason All-BIG EAST Team selections in Azzi Fudd, Aaliyah Edwards, and Nika Mühl.
• UConn was picked to finish first in the BIG EAST preseason coaches' poll.

• Karlen was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor roll on Dec. 22 after her third double-double of the season against Bucknell (17 points, 13 rebounds).
• It was the third conference honor for Karlen this season, who has been named player of the week twice (Nov. 13 & Dec. 18).
• Karlen is averaging 21.3 points and 8.8 rebounds in the last four games.

KING TOP RETURNING SCORER IN BIG EAST
• At 17.2 points per game in league play, Jordan King is the BIG EAST's top returning scorer from 2022-23.
• King has had 43 double figure scoring performances in conference play, including seven 20-point games.
• King is the active career scoring and assists leader in the conference with 1,578 points and 526 assists.Â

• Marquette has outrebounded its opponent in all 12 games this season.
• Under Megan Duffy, Marquette is 87-21 when outrebounding its opponent.
• The Golden Eagles had a season-high 55 rebounds against Bucknell on Thursday, Dec. 21.
• Frannie Hottinger (3rd, 9.2) and Liza Karlen (9th, 7.6) are both top-10 in the BIG EAST in rebounds per game.
