PALM CITY, Florida – The Marquette University men's golf team is 9-over par after two rounds of play in the Valspar Collegiate at Floridian National Golf Club Monday afternoon. The Golden Eagles are in 14th place.

MU shot a 1-over par 285 in the opening round at Floridian G.C.

The Golden Eagles No. 2, Max Lyons led the field after the days opening round with a 6-under par 65. Lyons rolled in seven birdies and an eagle en route to posting his lowest score of the season. He shot a 2-over par 73 in the second round and is 4-under for the tournament. Lyons is tied for 10th individually.

In the afternoon round, Marquette shot an 8-over 292 as a team.

Bhoom Sima-Aree posted the low score of the second round with a 1-over par 72. Sima-Aree holed four birdies and an eagle in his second 18 of the day.

The final round from Floridian National G.C. tees off at 7:30 a.m. CT. Texas Tech leads the Valspar Collegiate at 18-under par.
