
Golf Leads Redhawk Intercollegiate Through 36 Holes

Evangelio, Lyons and Sima-Aree in the top five
PITTSBURG, Pa. – The Marquette University men's golf team leads the Redhawk Intercollegiate after 36 holes of play. MU is at 9-over (par 577) after a first round 2-over 286 and a second round 7-over 291.
MU's No. 5, Max Lyons paced the Golden Eagles through the first two rounds at the Pittsburgh Field Club. Lyons was 3-over par through three holes in his opening round but battled back with birdies on holes 10 and 18 and an eagle on the par 5 No. 3 to finish even par.
Lyons sits at 1-over par for the tournament after a second round 1-over 72. He heads into the final round tied for second.
Nicolás Evangelio and Bhoom Sima-Aree matched each other through the first 36 holes. Both players shot even par in the morning round and 2-over par in the second 18 of the day. They're tied for fourth place at 2-over par.
Marquette's No. 1, Tyler Leach is tied for 11th at 4-over par. Leach shot 2-over par 73s in both of the day's rounds.
On a day when birdies were hard to come by, freshman Will Hemauer rolled in a tournament-leading 11 on the day. Hemauer is tied for 26th at 6-over par.
Tee times for tomorrow's final round will begin at 7:45 a.m. CT. Groups will go off of Nos. 1 and 10.
