Women’s Tennis Takes 6-1 victory over Seton Hall

Golden Eagles take win on senior day
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University women's tennis team (8-10, 2-3 BIG EAST) takes 6-1 decision over Seton Hall (6-11, 0-4 BIG EAST).
The Golden Eagles began Saturday's competition with a ceremony honoring the five student-athlete senior class.
Senior duo Julieanne Bou and Elizabeth Ferdman took the first win for MU at No. 3 during doubles. At No. 2, in senior day fashion Giulia Turconi and Tiana Windbuchler clinched with a 6-4 victory which gave the doubles point to the Golden Eagles.
Senior Julieanne Bou took a 6-2 win in the first set before her opponent retired to earn the first singles win for Marquette.
Elizabeth Ferdman earned a straight-set victory (6-2, 6-2) at No. 6 to give the Golden Eagles three team points.
Freshman Emma Davis clinched the team victory with a straight-set victory at the No. 5 spot.
Emilija Kojcic and Elisabeth Desmarais both took singles wins at No. 1 and No. 2 in straight-set fashion to close out the match vs Seton Hall.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will take on Xavier in Cincinnati, Friday, April 14.
