INDEPENDENCE, Minnesota – Junior Max Lyons recorded the fourth top-10 finish of his career and the Marquette University men's golf team placed fourth following Monday's final round in the Gopher Invitational at Windsong Farm Golf Club.
The Golden Eagles (+2, 286-284-284—854) carded identical second and third round scores of an even par 284 on Sunday and Monday, and their final round score was the third-lowest of the day. UNC Wilmington won the event with a 7-under 845 (284-279-282) and was five strokes ahead of runner-up Kent State at 2-under par. UNCW and Kent State each recorded a 2-under 282 on Monday.
