WBB Travels to No. 22/20 Creighton Wednesday Night at 6 p.m. CT

Marquette women's basketball goes on the road to face No. 22/20 Creighton in Omaha on Wednesday. Tipoff from D.J. Sokol Arena is at 6 p.m. CT.

Wednesday's contest will be on the BIG EAST Digital Network on FloHoops with Josh Peterson (play-by-play) and Rob Simms (analyst) on the call.

The Golden Eagles beat Creighton in the first meeting this season, 76-70, in the BIG EAST opener on Dec. 13, 2023. Liza Karlen had a double-double with 25 points and 12 rebounds to lead Marquette. Karlen, Jordan King, and Rose Nkumu combined for 17 of MU's 22 points in the final ten minutes.

• Creighton is coming off a 57-49 win over Seton Hall on Sunday.
• Lauren Jensen, Morgan Maly and Emma Ronsiek were all voted preseason All-BIG EAST.

KARLEN CAREER STRETCH
• Liza Karlen is averaing 20.0 points and 7.8 rebounds per game last 12 games.
• Karlen had a career-high 30 points at Seton Hall behind an 11-of-16 shooting clip.
• The senior has led the team in scoring nine times this season, and has eight 20-point games after having four total her first three years at MU.
• The St. Paul, Minnesota native is second in the BIG EAST and 17th nationally in FG made with 152.
• Karlen earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after scoring 21 against UConn and her fourth double-double of the season vs. Butler (25 points and 12 rebounds).

HARE AMONG NATION'S BEST FROM THREE
• Mackenzie Hare is third in the nation in 3-point percentage (48.5) and seventh in treys per game (3.2).
• Hare hit her 100th 3-pointer at Villanova on Jan. 17. The sophomore reached 100 career 3's in 49 games, fastest since Natisha Hiedeman (43 games) who is first all-time in career 3's with 301 from 2015-19.
• The Naperville, Illinois native is first in the BIG EAST in 3-pointers made with 63 for the season, good for fifth in the nation.
• Hare is 13 made 3's away from setting the program record for 3's made by a sophomore (75) set by Natisha Hiedeman during the 2016-17 season.

FLOOR LEADER
• Rose Nkumu has 11 games with 5-or-more assists this season.
• Nkumu is first in the BIG EAST and fourth in the nation with a 3.43 assist-to-turnover ratio.
• The senior is one of 50 players in the nation to average 5-or-more assists per game.

MOVING THE BALL
• Marquette is second in the BIG EAST and fifth in the nation in assists per game (19.9).
• The Golden Eagles have recorded 20-or-more assists in 11-of-20 games this season. MU hit that mark eight times all of last season.

MONEY FROM DEEP
• Marquette is seventh in the nation and first in the BIG EAST in 3-point percentage (38.9 percent).
• The Golden Eagles have shot 50-percent-or-better from deep five times this season.
