
Cross Country Begins 2024 Season Friday at Vic Godfrey Open in Kenosha

Golden Eagles to compete alongside eight teams at Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course
MILWAUKEE – Marquette University cross country begins its 2024 season on Friday, Sept. 6 at the Vic Godfrey Open in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
The Golden Eagles will compete alongside Alverno, Bryant and Stratton, Carthage, Moody Bible Institute, Mount Mary, North Park, Roosevelt, and Parkside at the Wayne E. Dannehl National Cross Country Course. The site hosted the 2024 BIG EAST Cross Country Championships last fall.
The women's 4k begins at 5 p.m CT. The men's 6k starts at 5:40 p.m. CT. Results will be posted to WisconsinRunner.com.
Associate Head Cross Country Coach begins his first season leading his alma mater. Hackett, who graduated in 2013, ran cross country and track at MU and has multiple program top 10 marks.
The men's squad returns eight letterwinners and are led by captain David Zeller, who paced the team in two races last season.
The women's team returns 11 letterwinners and are led by captain Gretchen Pfeiffer, who has raced in 12 events over her Marquette career.
