MSOC Earns 0-0 Draw vs. Purdue Fort Wayne, Thursday Afternoon

Golden Eagles back in action at No. 9 Northwestern Monday evening
MILWAUKEE - The Marquette University men's soccer team (3-1-1, 0-0-0 BIG EAST) took a 0-0 draw against Purdue Fort Wayne (1-2-1, 0-0-0 Horizon) Thursday afternoon at Valley Fields.
The first half was highlighted by freshman goalkeeper Marten Brink's four saves.
Gabriel Rokov was called for a penalty in the box resulting in a pk for the Mastodons, which Brink notched a huge save and Tim Smith cleared the rebound saving a goal against MU.
Marquette put up four shots against PFW and had one corner kick.
"Disappointed with the result, Purdue Fort Wayne did a good job making the match tough." head coach David Korn said. "Proud of the resiliency of our group, but we need to do a better job being disciplined and being more clinical like we know we can be moving forward."
In the second half, Purdue Fort Wayne thought they got on board, but it was overturned after VAR due to an offside violation.
The momentum switch led Marquette to post 8 shots throughout the half but were unable to find the back of the net.
