Blagoev picks up lone Marquette singles win
WEST POINT, N.Y. - The Marquette University men's tennis team fell 4-1 to Army Saturday afternoon.
Army started the match by winning the doubles point with victories at the No. 2 and No. 3 spots, giving them a 1-0 head start in team points.
Freshman Kristian Blagoev scored the lone Marquette point with a victory at No. 3 in three sets (1-6, 6-2, 6-3).
Army picked up three singles victories at the No. 1, No. 2, and No. 6 spots to take the team win of 4-1.
With multiple position going to third sets, the match time clocked in just under four hours of play.
UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles will take Georgetown on Sunday at 7 a.m before heading back to Milwaukee.
