WLAX Drops Road Contest at Colorado Tuesday Afternoon

Golden Eagles host Detroit Mercy Sunday morning
The Marquette University women's lacrosse team continued non-conference play with a 15-6 setback at Colorado on Tuesday afternoon.
The Golden Eagles (4-3, 0-0 BIG EAST) were led by Meg Bireley, who had her sixth hat trick of the year. The senior tied Shea Garcia (2019-23) for the second-most goals in program history with 170 for her career.
Marquette scored the first two goals of the game before Colorado scored eight unanswered in the first half.
Colorado native CJ Meehan scored off a free position goal in the third quarter. Freshman Mckenna Farrell scored her first collegiate goal in the fourth.
Colorado (2-4, 0-0 Big 12) was led by Maddie Shoup and Teagan Ryan who had three goals each.
