Golden Eagles and Titans first draw is at 11 a.m. CT
The Marquette University women's lacrosse team hosts Detroit Mercy on Sunday, March 16 at 11 a.m. CT at Valley Fields. The game will be broadcast on FloCollege with Matt Menzl, (pxp) and Eric Simon (analyst) on the call.
Marquette leads the all-time series 9-0, with the first meeting coming in 2013. MU won last year's meeting in Detroit 19-7 on Feb. 28, 2024.
BIRELEY THIRD IN PROGRAM HISTORY OVER 200 POINTS
• Meg Bireley became the third player in program history to have 200 points for their career on Friday, Feb. 28 vs. Niagara. Bireley is second all-time in points (213) and tied for second all-time in goals (170).
BIRELEY AMONG NCAA LEADERS ON OFFENSE
• Meg Bireley is first in the BIG EAST and 22nd in the nation with 26 goals on the season.
• The senior attacker is first in the conference and 18th nationally averaging over a hat trick per game at 3.71 goals an outing.
NIXON TIES CAREER WINS MARK
• Brynna Nixon earned her third win of the season and 24th win of her career on last Friday, Feb. 28 against Niagara to tie the program's all-time wins mark with Jules Horning (2017-21).
• The senior has 10-or-more saves in three-straight games and became the third player in program history to have over 300 career saves on March 7 vs. No. 3 Northwestern, joining Jules Horning (2017-21) and Sarah Priem (2013-16).
BODNER CAREER STRETCH
• Senior midfielder Hanna Bodner has registered career-highs in points (5), goals (3), assists (4), ground balls (6), draw controls (4) and caused turnovers (3) in the first seven games this season.
