Tess Osburn scores career-high six goals, hits 100 mark for her career
The Marquette University women's lacrosse fell 14-13 at Georgetown on Saturday in its BIG EAST regular season finale.
The Golden Eagles (9-6, 3-3 BIG EAST) were led by Tess Osburn, who opened the scoring with her 100th goal of her career and finished with a career-high six goals.
Tied after one at 2 goals apiece, Georgetown scored the first five goals of the second. CJ Meehan and Tess Osburn got two goals back late in the quarter and MU went into the break down 7-4.
Marquette opened the third quarter with two quick goals from Osburn and CJ Meehan to make it a one goal game. The contest was within two goals for MU on five occasions in the second half and within one goal twice.
Georgetown (9-6, 4-1 BIG EAST) was led by Maley Starr, who had two goals and four assists.
