No 15/14 Marquette Faces Georgetown on Sunday

WASHINGTON, D.C. – The 15th ranked Marquette women's basketball team opened its road trip with ease in a 91-55 win at Villanova on Friday and will take on Georgetown on Sunday, Jan. 13 at 1 p.m. CT at McDonough Arena.
The game will air live on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Ben Gordon-Goldstein and Monika Moore calling the action.
Natisha Hiedeman continued her hot start to the BIG EAST season on Friday as she led five Golden Eagles (13-3, 4-0) in double figures with 24 points. Through the four league games played, MU is averaging a +31.5 margin of victory over its opponents.
The Golden Eagles combine for 85.2 points per game, which leads the conference, while the Hoyas are last in the BIG EAST averaging 60.2 points per game but rank second allowing opponents to score just 56.5 points per contest.
Marquette will return home to host Seton Hall and St. John's next weekend beginning with a Friday matinee at the Al McGuire Center for annual MPS Day. Tip-off will be 11:30 a.m. CT

Sunday will mark the 20th meeting between Marquette and Georgetown with the Golden Eagles owning a 15-4 record in the all-time series. Last season the two squads split the season meetings as each team won on its home court.

OPPONENT
GEORGETOWN (8-8, 2-3 BIG EAST): The Hoyas hosted DePaul on Friday and despite leading by as many as 16 points in the first half, fell 69-64. Dorothy Adomako led Georgetown with 24 points and eight rebounds, while Dionna White tallied 13 points. The Hoyas took 30 points in the paint, following their typical style of play and lead the BIG EAST with 5.2 blocks per game with Anita Kelava and Adomako ranking second and third, respectively in the conference.THE SERIES
