Baird 'Blue & Gold' Student-Athlete of the Month: Allazia Blockton

Blockton is the BIG EAST's SAAC Representative
Senior women's basketball player Allazia Blockton is the Baird Blue & Gold Student-Athlete of the Month for February as chosen by Marquette Athletics' Academics and Student Programs staff.An advertising major with a biological sciences minor, Blockton has been named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team three times. Additionally, the standout student-athlete has received the Chi Alpha Sigma Award three years in a row and has also participated in the MAGIS Mentor program.
When Blockton isn't on the court or in class, she is committed to helping others. She habitually participates in events such as Briggs & Als Run & Walk for Children's Hospital, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure, Campus Kitchen, Girl Scout Clinic, and March for Dimes.
On top of it all, the Milwaukee native spends time with Vello through United Way. Vello is a program which helps young students become stronger, more confident readers.
