Novakovic wins all singles matches at the fall tournament
BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--The Marquette women's tennis team closed out its second fall competition on Sunday at the Hoosier Classic on the campus of Indiana University.
Milica Novakic played stellar in her first tournament of the season winning all of her singles matches, including a comeback 3-6, 6-2, 10-8 win over Western Michigan on Saturday and a win over MTSU.
Elizabeth Ferdman earned her first collegiate victory on Saturday with a 6-4, 6-4 win over Wright State and Novakovic returned to earn a win with Giulia Turconi with a 7-6 (10-8) doubles win.
On Sunday, Ferdman picked up her second win as she topped Western Michigan 7-6 (7-4) 6-2 to help the Golden Eagles close out the day.
Marquette will play in its third fall slate traveling to Evanston, Ill. for the Wildcat Invitational beginning Friday, Oct. 4.
