MILWAUKEE - A late-game rally from Marquette fell just short Thursday night as the Golden Eagles fell to Seton Hall 70-63 at Fiserv Forum.
Seton Hall's Sandro Mamukelashvili led all scorers with 17 points and Jared Rhoden added 16 points and a team-high eight boards for the Pirates.
For Marquette (5-3), D.J. Carton led with 16 points. Forward Theo John totaled 13 points and four blocks on the night, while Jamal Cain had 12 points and eight rebounds.Â
Marquette leads the all-time series, 19-12, over the Pirates.

- MU has lost the last five games in the series against Seton Hall, but is still 10-4 all-time in Milwaukee.
- Marquette's freshman forward duo hit the boards hard against the Pirates, with Dawson Garcia pulling down a career-high 12 rebounds and Justin Lewis totaling eight boards.
- Marquette went to the charity stripe just eight times in the matchup, but shot 100% at the line.
- Myles Cale and Shavar Reynolds also scored in double digits for Seton Hall, each totaling 11 points.
- Mamukelashvili contributed a game-high seven assists for the Pirates, adding a team-high three steals.
