MTEN Cruises Past IUPUI 6-1 In Non-League Action

The Marquette University men's tennis team (4-4) wrapped up a two-match weekend road swing on Sunday afternoon with a 6-1 non-conference victory over IUPUI.
MU opened the match by claiming the doubles point with 6-2 wins at both No. 2 and 3. Sunday's action marked the season dual-match debuts of junior Julian Robinson and freshman Will Tennison. Both responded with straight-set victories, including the team-clinching decision at No. 5 by Tennison.
Senor Luke Smrek, junior Luis Heredia Gomez and sophomore Fran San Andres also earned wins for Marquette.
The Golden Eagles open a three-match homestand on Saturday, Feb. 22 when the squad welcomes Creighton to the Helfaer Tennis Stadium. First serve is set for 2 p.m. CT.
