#MUBB Holds Off K-State For 64-63 Win

Goilden Eagles host No. 4/4 UCLA Saturday at 1:30 p.m. CT
The Marquette University men's basketball team (8-2) held on for a 64-63 victory at Kansas State (5-3) in the road non-conference finale Wednesday night in the BIG EAST-Big 12 Battle.
Guard Kam Jones finished with 15 points to lead the team and forward Justin Lewis added 14 points and nine rebounds in the victory.
The Golden Eagles led by as many as seven points in the second half and held off a last-second shot attempt on a block by forward Oso Ighodaro to secure the victory.
Marquette led 31-30 at the intermission, despite shooting just 32.4 percent from the floor. Seven of the team's 12 made field goals were from behind the 3-point line. Lewis was a presence at both ends of the court, collecting 10 points and seven rebounds prior to halftime.

- Five different players hit at least one 3-pointer for Marquette
- Golden Eagles shot a season-high 37 3-pointers, surpassing previous high of 32 against Ole Miss
- For the first time this season Marquette didn't attempt a free throw in the first half and the first charity tosses didn't come until the 13:56 mark of the second half
- Guard Greg Elliott is the only player remaining to have played in 2019 game at K-State
- Guard Kam Jones finished with 15 points, his first time in double figures since scoring 12 against West Virginia  on Nov. 19
