MU back in action Thursday night against NIU
The Marquette University men's tennis team (3-3) concluded its weekend road swing with a 4-3 loss to Dayton (2-4) Sunday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Golden Eagles defeated Youngstown State 5-2 Friday night to open the trip.
MU opened the match by claiming the doubles point, but Dayton was able to claim four singles decisions to earn the team victory.
After falling behind 3-1 following three straight-set wins by the Flyers, the Golden Eagles tied the score at 3-3 and the deciding point came down to No. 1 singles.
Marquette returns to action Thursday night when the team hosts Northern Illinois at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
