MTEN Sweeps Illinois State In Doubleheader

Marquette returns to action April 2
The Marquette University men's tennis team (7-5) picked up a pair of victories on Saturday, sweeping Illinois State (6-13) in a non-conference doubleheader at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.

MU earned a 5-2 decision in the opener and followed that up with a 6-1 victory to conclude the day.Â

Fran San Andres clinched the team victory in the first match and Tin Krstulovic did the same to conclude the afternoon. Nearly the entire active roster was able to see action in the twinbill.

"We were able to get a lot of guys into the lineup and pick up two wins as well, a great combination," head coach Steve Rodecap said. "It was a long weekend, but we did a lot of good things in singles and doubles.
