San Andres clinches another team victory
The Marquette University men's tennis team (8-5) defeated Creighton (5-5), 4-3, on Saturday afternoon in Omaha, Neb.
The Golden Eagles are now 2-0 against BIG EAST opponents this season, having defeated DePaul 4-3 at home earlier this year. Head-to-head matchups are a primary factor in seeding for the conference tournament.
Marquette claimed the doubles point and won at the top three singles positions on Saturday against the Bluejays. Fran San Andres improved to 9-1 on the year, including 4-1 at the No. 1 spot and clinched another team victory.
Luis Heredia Gomez and Stefan Dragovic were also singles winners on Saturday.
UP NEXT: Marquette wraps up the regular season April 16-17 with a road trip to Xavier and Butler.
