Marquette concludes homestand Thursday vs. Creighton
The Marquette University women's soccer team (5-3-0, 3-3-0 BIG EAST) dropped a 1-0 decision in double overtime to Butler (8-1-0, 5-1-0 BIG EAST) Sunday afternoon in BIG EAST action at Valley fields.

Both teams had multiple scoring opportunities throughout the match, with Butler finally finding the back of the net late in the second overtime after a Marquette turnover at midfield.

On two occasions, Marquette appeared to go ahead 1-0 late in the match, but both times offsides negated the score. The Golden Eagles finished with 10 shots, forcing Bulldogs netminder Stephanie Rodriguez to make five saves.

Freshman Lauren Schill matched her season high with six saves for Marquette.
