Golden Eagles back in action at No. 17 Providence on Saturday
The Marquette University men's basketball team (15-6, 7-3 BIG EAST) held on for a 73-63 win at Seton Hall (12-7, 3-6 BIG EAST) in BIG EAST Conference action.
Forward Justin Lewis scored a career-high 33 points and forward Olivier-Maxence Prosper chipped in 10 points in the win, the team's seventh-straight in league play.
The Golden Eagles led 38-21 at the intermission, courtesy of Lewis' 15 points on the offensive end and a defensive effort that held the Pirates to just 24.2 percent shooting from the floor.  Forward Kur Kauth set the tone early, blocking five shots in the opening eight minutes of the contest.

- Lewis is the first Marquette player to score 30 points since Markus Howard (30) did in the 2019-20 regular season finale at St. John's.
- Kuath now has 65 blocks on the year, the eight-best single-season total in school history
- Kuath's seven blocks marked a season and career high, which he set against Providence on Jan. 4
- Marquette has now won seven-straight BIG EAST games, the longest run since the team claimed eight consecutive during the 2018-19 season.
