Events at GVSU begin at 8 a.m. CT
MILWAUKEE – The Marquette University men's and women's track and field teams will be heading to Grand Valley State this Friday, Feb. 11 to compete in the GVSU Big Meet. The meet will be held at the Kelly Family Sports Center located on the Allendale campus at GVSU. Â
The meet will begin at 8 a.m. CT with the running events and the men's 5000-meter. The field events will follow at 11 a.m. CT. There will be three live streams throughout the day to capture Friday's events. The morning track events can be streamed here from 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. CT. The afternoon track events will be streamed for free from 12:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. CT and can be found here. The remainder of both track and field events will be streamed from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. CT here. Live results can be found throughout the day at sidearm stats.
NOTABLES LAST TIME OUT:
Last weekend Marquette competed in a pair of meets. MU sent representatives to Notre Dame for the Meyo Invitational and UW-Parkside for the Parkside Classic.
MEYO INVITATIONAL:
Following this weekend's meet at Grand Valley State, the Golden Eagles will head to Madison to compete in the St. Valentine's Invite on Friday, Feb. 18.

MEYO INVITATIONAL:
- The Golden Eagles recorded seven PRs at Notre Dame.
- Dan Weizeorick finished second in the 3000-meter with a PR 8:21.62 and ranks No. 7 all-time in MU history. Teammate David Zeller set a PR in the 3000-meter as well with a time of 8:25.52 and finished ninth.
- In the women's 3000-meter, Kendall Pfrimmer finished ninth with a PR off 9:44.94. Kate Jochims finished 20th in the 3000-meter and set a personal best of 9:50.68.
- Greg Van Hollen (600-meter), Cade Ferron (800-meter) and Patrick Hetlage (mile) all set personal bests in their respective events.
- 23 personal bests were recorded and seven titles were won by the Golden Eagles at UW-Parkside.
- Sophomore Mikayla Wise won both the shot put and weight throw. Wise set a PR in the weight throw with a throw of 13.42 meters/44 feet, 0.5 inches.
- Freshman Kaylee Hopp won the triple jump with a PR 11.48 meters/37 feet, 8 inches. Hopp also placed third in the long jump with a PR 5.07 meters/16 feet, 7.75 inches.
- Sophomore Renfei Chang finished first in the 55-meter hurdles with a personal-best 8.35.
- Laurel Moneysmith finished first in the 3000-meter with a PR of 10:22.44. Emily Foley (10:25.98) and Mallory Lafever followed in second and third to claim the top three spots for the Golden Eagles. Lafever finished with a PR of 10:28.85.
- In the women's high jump, MU swept the top four spots with Emma Ludwig taking first with a mark of 1.55 meters/ 5 feet, 1 inch. Annika Bynum (1.55 meters/5 feet, 1 inch), Claudia Millan (1.50 meters/4 feet, 11 inches) and Mila Puseljic (1.50 meters/4 feet, 11 inches) rounded out the top four spots.
Following this weekend's meet at Grand Valley State, the Golden Eagles will head to Madison to compete in the St. Valentine's Invite on Friday, Feb. 18.
