
Track & Field Honors 2022 Senior Class at Final Home Meet

Both men and women are victorious at Marquette Invitational
MILWAUKEE – Sunday afternoon the Marquette University men's and women's track and field team hosted the Marquette Invitational at Raabe Stadium. Six teams made the trip to Wisconsin Lutheran to compete in Sunday's competition. Eleven Golden Eagles claimed victory in their respective events.
The Golden Eagles men and women both came out victorious. The women won with a team score of 259 points and the men won with 173 points.
"It's always nice to have a meet at home and having your friends and family here to cheer you on," head coach Bert Rogers said."It was a bit breezy but we still got a lot of good performances and saw a lot of improvement towards where we want to be."
Sophomore Mia Ketelhohn started the day by winning the discus with a mark of 37.60 meters. Ketelhohn would also go on to throw a personal best in the javelin with a mark of 37.80 meters, good for No. 6 all-time at Marquette. She would also record a PR in the hammer throw with a mark of 42.39 meters.
Senior Megan Wallace record the third best mark in the javelin in school history with a mark of 40.06 meters. Wallace's mark would earn her the victory in the javelin.
Vinnie Voudrie would find gold twice on Sunday winning both the discuss and hammer throw. Voudrie posted a mark of 43.54 meters in the discuss and a throw of 52.02 meters in the hammer throw.
"I'm proud of the crew. It was great to honor the seniors and overall a good day."
At the conclusion of Sunday's meet Marquette honored the 2022 senior class.
Pole Vaulter Brielle Buechler is a two-time All-Big EAST selection and holds the school record in the Pole Vault with an outdoor height of 12 feet, 8.75 inches, and also owns the 4th-ranked indoor mark.
A four-time BIG EAST All-Academic team selection, Brielle will be graduating with a degree in speech pathology and Audiology.
An All-BIG EAST selection in the weight throw after receiving runner-up honors at the 2020 BIG EAST Championships, Lizzy Cagle holds the second-best mark in the weight throw in MU history with a throw of 61 feet, 2 inches. Lizzy was named a team captain the past two seasons.
A member of the BIG-EAST All-Academic team, Lizzy will be graduating in May with a degree in nursing.
Grace Dargiewicz is a four-year letterwinner who has competed in indoor, outdoor and cross country, and has represented Marquette at the BIG EAST Championships on multiple occasions, in the 800, 4x400 and 4x800 relays.
A two-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic team, Grace will be graduating with a degree in psychology.
A four-year letterwinner, Molly Evans recorded the seventh-best mark in school history in the indoor triple jump at this year's BIG EAST Championships with a jump of 38 feet, 6 inches, and owns the 10th-ranked outdoor mark.
A member of the BIG-EAST All-Academic team, Molly graduates in May with a degree in communications and a minor in elementary and middle school education.
A team captain the last three seasons, Allie Flando is a multiple all-conference selection in the shot put and weight throw and took third place in the weight throw at this year's indoor BIG EAST Championships. She leaves Marquette with the fourth-best marks in both the shot put and weight throw.
A four-time BIG EAST All-Academic honoree, Allie graduated with a degree in biochemistry and molecular biology with minors in business administration and psychology. She is currently earning her doctorate of physical therapy.
Emily Foley has represented Marquette in every indoor, outdoor and cross country campaign over her five-year career, including action at all five BIG EAST Cross Country Championships. Emily was also a member of the 4x1600 relay team that set the sixth-best time in school history.
A four-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic team, Emily graduated with a degree in social welfare and justice with minors in health studies and sociology. She is currently pursuing her Masters in Education Policy and leadership with a focus on student affairs in higher education.
Adelaide Havens has competed in a variety of events in both indoor and outdoor and has represented Marquette at the BIG EAST Championships on multiple occasions in the 400-meters, 400 hurdles, 4x400 and DMR. Addy leaves with top-10 marks in the 400 hurdles, 4x400 and DMR.
A three-time BIG EAST All-Academic team selection, Addy is graduating with a double major in political science and history with a minor in Spanish language, literature & culture.
Carley Hintz is a four-year letterwinner competing in both indoor and outdoor campaigns during her tenure at Marquette. She was a point scorer at the 2019 BIG EAST Championships as a member of the 4x400 team.
A Three-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Carly will be graduating with a degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in Spanish for the professions.
A four-year letterwinner, Arianna Mansavage leaves with her name scattered throughout the Marquette record books. She holds top-10 marks in both indoor and outdoor, competing in the 200, 300, 400, and 4x400.
A member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Ariana will graduate with a degree in sociology.
A multiple All-BIG EAST selection, Breanne Marchan has competed in multiple events over her tenure at Marquette. She leaves the program with top-10 marks in the 55, 60, 100, 200, long jump, high jump, 4x100 and was on the relay teams that set the school records in the SMR and 4x200 at the Drake Relays in 2018.
A three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member, Breanne graduated with a degree in criminology and is currently earning her Masters in Criminal Justice Data Analytics.
A two-time BIG EAST Champion in the high jump at the 2021 and 2019 conference championships, team captain Lindsey Mirkes is a three-time all-conference selection in the event in both indoor and outdoor. Lindsey was named the team MVP in 2019 and 2021. She leaves as the school record holder in the outdoor high jump with a mark of 5 feet, 10.75 inches, and the fifth-best mark in indoors.
An academic All-American and four-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Lindsey graduated with a degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in psychology. She is currently earning her Masters in exercise physiology and rehab science.
Team Captain of the cross country team, Lauren Neiheisel is a four-year letterwinner competing in cross country and multiple distance events in both indoor and outdoor. She was a member of the DMR team that posted the seventh-best time in program history.
A three-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic team, Lauren will be graduating with a degree in nursing.
A four-year letterwinner, Kendall Pfrimmer was the top MU finisher at this year's BIG EAST Cross Country Championships and was named the team MVP. Competing in several distance events in both indoor and outdoor, Kendall owns top-10 marks in the 3K, 5K and 10K.
A two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Kendall will be graduating with a nursing degree.
A two-time All-BIG EAST selection, Pole Vaulter Rachel Seraphine holds top-10 marks in both indoor and outdoor. Rachel also owns the freshman record in the pole vault for both indoor and outdoor.
A three-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Rachel will receive a degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in interdisciplinary environmental studies and biological sciences.
A transfer from the University of Wisconsin – Eau Claire, Megan Wallace has left her mark on the Marquette program posting top-10 marks in the 55-meter hurdles, 60-meter hurdles, javelin and holds the number two Pentathlon score in school history with 3851 points.
Megan will continue pursuing her Masters in speech-language pathology from Marquette.
An All-BIG EAST Selection in the 4x100 relay, two-time team captain Daniel Bendel holds numerous top-10 marks in the 60, 200, 4x100 and SMR. He was a part of the DMR team that set the school record at Grand Valley State in 2019.
A four-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member, Daniel graduated with a degree in biomedical sciences and a minor in psychology. He is currently working towards his doctorate in physical therapy.
Cross Country team captain, August Beyer has represented Marquette the last three seasons at the BIG EAST Cross Country Championships. He has also seen action in indoor and outdoor campaigns competing in distance events.
A three-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic team, Augie is a NAVY ROTC Cadet and will be graduating with a degree in mechanical engineering with a minor in naval science.
Patrick Burns is a four-year letter winner and has competed for the Golden Eagles in indoor, outdoor, and cross country. He has competed in a number of distance events for the Golden Eagles including 1500, mile, 3K, 5K and 10K.
A three-time BIG EAST All-Academic Team member, Patrick has earned a degree in data science with a minor in information systems and is currently pursuing a Masters of data science with a focus on machine learning.
A four-year letterwinner, Jeff Garbutt has competed in multiple events during his tenure at Marquette. Jeff scored points at the BIG EAST Championships competing in the heptathlon in 2020 and the DMR in 2019.
A two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic team, Jeff will be graduating with a degree in corporate communications with a minor in advertising.
An All-BIG EAST selection in the heptathlon, team captain Brady Heller has scored points in all BIG EAST Championships he has competed in for the Golden Eagles. He holds top-10 marks in both the heptathlon and decathlon.
A three-time BIG EAST All-Academic selection, Brady is graduating with a double major in innovation & entrepreneurship and marketing with a minor in finance.
Team captain of both the cross country and track and field teams, Jordan Janusiak recorded a 10K personal-best at this year's NCAA Great Lakes Cross Country Regional. He has represented Marquette in both indoor and outdoor campaigns competing in numerous distance events.
A three-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Jordan is receiving a degree in biomedical sciences with a minor in health studies.
A three-time conference champion in the indoor long jump and outdoor long and triple jump, Samuel Johnson is a multiple All-BIG EAST selection in the long jump, triple jump, 60-meters and 4x100. He was named a team captain for the 2021 season. Sam leaves Marquette with numerous top-10 marks and as the indoor 60-meters school record holder.
A three-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Sam graduated with a degree in computer science with a minor in Spanish language, literature and culture. He is currently earning his Masters in computing with a focus on info assurance and cyber defense.
A two-time All-American and BIG EAST Champion, Joe Keys was named team captain the last three seasons and named the team MVP the last two. Joe leaves as the school and BIG EAST record holder in the heptathlon and the school record holder in the decathlon and holds top-10 marks in nine other events. Joe was also the recipient of the Ralph H. Metcalfe Senior Award for Athletic Excellence and the 75th McCahill Award.
A two-time Academic All-American and four-time selection to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Joe earned his degree in mechanical engineering and is currently pursuing his Masters in business administration.
Matthew Moravec is a two-year letterwinner and has represented Marquette in cross country, indoor and outdoor competitions. He has competed in 800, mile and 3K for the Golden Eagles.
A two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic team, Matthew will be graduating with a bachelors of science in data science and economics with a minor in computer science.
Jefferson Osunkwo has competed in 55,60, 100, long jump and triple jump during his time at Marquette. He recorded his best finish in the triple jump at this year's BIG EAST Championships and has Top-10 marks in both the indoor and outdoor triple jump.
A two-time member of the BIG EAST All-Academic Team, Jefferson will graduate with a degree in computer science.
