Golden Eagles sweep BIG EAST weekend
The Marquette University women's tennis team (10-7) concluded its weekend homestand against BIG EAST opponents with a 6-1 win over DePaul (6-6) Sunday afternoon at Helfaer Tennis Stadium.
The Golden Eagles also defeated Creighton 5-2 on Friday night in league action.
The Blue Demons' lineup featured just five players due to recent injury, so the Golden Eagles began the match with wins at No. 3 doubles and No. 6 singles.
After claiming the double point, Marquette received a pair of quick straight-set singles wins by Emilija Kojcic and Elisabeth Desmarais (clinching match) to earn the team victory.
