Golden Eagles conclude regular season Thursday at Xavier
The Marquette University women's soccer team (5-9-4, 2-5-2 BIG EAST) wrapped up the home portion of the regular season on Sunday afternoon with a 3-0 loss against St. John's (9-5-3, 4-4-1 BIG EAST) in BIG EAST action.

Marquette can still claim the final spot in the six-team BIG EAST tourney, but will need to win at nationally ranked Xavier on Thursday night and have some favorable results that evening as well.

The Red Storm finished with a 15-8 advantage in total shots, including an 8-1 mark in attempts on goal. Netminder Mikki Easter concluded the afternoon with six saves.

Marquette trailed 2-0 at the intermission after a pair of Red Storm scored in the opening 20 minutes of action. The Golden Eagles managed just a single attempt in the first 45 minutes, a long-distance blast from forward Kate Gibson.

UP NEXT: The Golden Eagles return to action on Sunday, Oct. 26 when the team travels to Xavier for the regular season finale.
